What do cultural ability and community activity/service mean, in the context of applying for a scholarship?
I take “cultural ability” to mean anything that you excel in that relates to a specific culture. Do you speak multiple languages, do you cook authentic french cuisine, are you well versed in culture specific practices? And so on. Then I take “community activity/service to mean; they want you to describe any work (especially volunteer) that you have done around your community to improve it or helps its citizens. Examples, working for habitat for humanity, being a member of a Big Brother/Big Sister Club for underprivileged children, working for a soup kitchen, and any fund raising activities for charity or community services. I hope this helps you, good luck. Just remember these people just want to know why you deserve a scholarship over your peers, so let them know what you have given back to society.
