What do CRC errors mean?
CRC errors, especially if you get them while downloading, are usually a sign of overrunning data, or incoming data being lost because the computer is unable to process the information in a proper amount of time. There are a variety of reasons for CRC errors including not having a 16550A UART chip installed, having the wrong hardware flow control settings, problems with your Windows VGA monitor driver, or conflicts with memory managers or drive caching.
