What do chimpanzees look like?
Chimpanzees look very similar to human beings. In terms of evolution, chimpanzees are the closest living relatives of human beings. In fact, chimpanzees can understand (though cannot speak) human language and even sign language, and can be trained to live with humans (using the restroom, etc.). However, the strength of adult chimpanzees makes it unsafe to keep chimps in the home post-adolescence. The younger chimps are, the more they resemble human beings. Many would-be eaters of wild game have remarked how cannibalistic they felt looking at skinned chimps being boiled, as these skinned chimps looked so much like human children.
