What Do Americans Think Of Brits Emigrating To The US ?
I don’t think MOST Americans would mind. It seems to me many would rather legal, English speaking immigrants who aren’t running from poverty stricken, drug plagued nations emigrate here for a change. Good luck with that though. It’s very difficult for you Brits to emigrate here. If I may expound a little on Candy Girl’s comment (which I totally agree with), my parents are Hungarian immigrants who arrived speaking English and with doctorates. They have NEVER spoken of encountering bigotry or xenophobia from Americans. No one spat on them or treated them as if they don’t belong in the U.S. In fact, I believe those were some lies meant to discourage you from wanting to move to the U.S. In all the previous, America bashing posts there had never before been any mention of ill treatment of British people in the U.S. until I answered someone’s question that was similar to this one.
