What do all the symbols and lines mean on the maps?
A. Well, most maps will have a key which will show what some of the areas and features mean. However, it is worth studying the map key to feel confident about the maps. Control descriptions can be written in words or with IOF (International Orienteering Federation) (link) symbols.
