What do all religions have in common when it comes to death and dying?
Back when I seeking answers, I found that many religions do have some commonalities- actually many commonalities, but not in what will happen to us when we die.The three dominant faiths in the United states seem to be Christianity, Judaism, and Muslim. They have different views of what happens when we die. Christian faith ask for forgiveness for their sins. If you ask for it, you will go to Heavan. Asking for forgiveness to be absolved of your sins does not exist in any form in the Jewish faith. There is a special kind of Hell reserved for the truly wicked (i.e Hitler), but that is only for the truly wicked. Normal folks are going to go back to their Father after they die. Sorry, I can’t remember how Muslims do that one. But there are religions that are more philosophy than religion, per se. Taoism is a contemplative religious philosophy. Then there are the earth-based religions like Wiccan. No, the Wicca don’t perform magic. And there are the religions that believe in re-incarnation.
