What do aborigines believe in?
The traditional Aborigines believed that all of their land was created “in the Dreamtime”. Thus, they wove elaborate legends of the personalities involved during the Dreaming, how some of them became different animals or landforms through good or bad choices. For example: A fight between the echidna-man and the wombat-man left the echidna-man with his back full of spears, so he crawled away and turned into the echidna, with its long spikes. The same fight left the wombat-man with a forehead flattened by a rock, so he curled up in a burrow and became the wombat. that is just a simple example of the beautiful, descriptive stories told by the indigenous people to explain Creation.
