What distinguishes one tuxedo from another?
Some of the differences in tuxedos are color, number of buttons, length (regular, long length or tails) and lapel. The three most popular lapels are notch, peak, and shawl. Mandarin or stand-up collars are more trendy styles. Another difference is the ‘cut’ of the tuxedo. What this refers to is the way the shoulders, back and mid-section for the tuxedo are tailored. A ‘traditional’ tuxedo cut is more fitted than a ‘contemporary’ or ‘oversize’ style, which has larger arm holes and wider shoulders.
