Callout notices and special events are fine as long as they would apply to list members. A more appropriate way to deal with these requests is to forward them to an officer to be posted on the announcement list. This has advantage of gaining officer approval that the post is relevant, and a wider audience. – Windows technical support. A more appropriate forum for this would be on Windows help newsgroups. – Any sort of “holy war.” Meaningful discussions about which editor, operating system, window manager, etc. is better are allowed as long as the discussion is orderly, meaningful, and constructive.
