What Disbursing Systems were chosen for the Standard Disbursing Initiative?
SDI encompasses all current and future disbursing systems that are within the realm of the DoD. To accomplish this initiative, SDI will modernize target disbursing systems and retire certain legacy and embedded disbursing systems. To support this effort, all technical and system change requests for legacy and embedded disbursing systems are hereby incorporated under the SDI. The disbursing systems incorporated under SDI are as follows: Automated Disbursing System (ADS): The non-tactical (or enterprise) disbursing environment will initially be supported with ADS. The system currently provides a full range of disbursing services (military pay, civilian pay, retired and annuitant pay, and vendor payments) primarily to the Department of the Navy and DoD agencies. It also provides civilian payroll disbursing services for all of DoD and other government agencies outside of the DoD.
