What disadvantages do high capacity scales have compared to regular scales?
A. The heavier duty construction required for high capacity scales adds some to manufacturing cost and makes them a little more expensive. They are also typically a little larger due to their larger foot pads. Also, the state of the art clinical high capacity scales, are sophisticated equipment and quite expensive. On the other hand, we carry a number of very capable high capacity scales which are only marginally more expensive the regular scales.
