What direction does the current flow in a DC circuit?

0

I understand it to be that electricity is the flow of electrons. Therefore it seems that the current in a DC circuit should flow from the negative terminal to the positive terminal. When I go online to sites run by battery manufacturers (Duracell, Eveready, etc.) the diagrams I see indicate this is true. However, I keep running into diagrams in science textbooks and resource books that show the current running from positive to negative. Why?
