What digital SLR camera should I buy – Canon Rebel Xti or the Nikon D80 ?

What camera you buy is pure personal preference. I, being a nikon user can say from experience that Nikon cameras IMHO are built tougher and better for those of us with normal sized hands, the XTI grip was apparently built for a child. The D80 has a more professional look and feel, even more so when you add the vertical grip. Cannon has less sensor noise at high ISO. Nikon Auto Focus is much faster Both companies have pros and cons, but don’t just look at the body you are planning to buy look at the lens lineup from the company. Always spend more money on lenses than on your camera body.
