What differentiate a profit and loss account from a trading account?

0

If this is within a company, profit and loss accounts are the normal expenses and revenues generated in the day-to-day business of the company. Trading accounts are for the investment in securities outside of the company. Any income or expenses from these investments would be listed as “other income” or “other comprehensive income” separate from the regular profit and loss or income statement.
