What different Chevy II station wagon models did GM produce?
GM made the Chevy II 100 (0235), which was the low-end model station wagon, which was very spartin in appearance and in terms of the lack of certain equipment as standard. You had a basic car…rubber mat floor, vinyl seats, no back-up lights, no multi-speed wiper/washer, no radio, no side-view mirror, no side trim, no rear armrests, no padded dash and no seat belts. All of these features had to be extra cost if you wanted them. This is the only model level where the 153 cubic-inch inline “Iron Duke” four cylinder engine was used as the base engine. The 194 cubic inch six and the V8 engines from 1964 on up were optional at extra cost. The Chevy II 100 was a basic, utilitarian car.
