What differences does implementing fEC make to me as a principal investigator?
You will cost all projects to fEC guidelines (link to costings request form & how to cost page) In order to calculate fEC, PIs will be asked to provide some additional information. This is because cost estimates prepared according to the fEC rules will include all project costs, not just those that the sponsor will pay for. For example, there will be a requirement for the PI to estimate the amount of time that they will need to spend supervising the project You will receive two sets of information, one containing the fEC the other containing the price (link to difference between cost and price) of the proposal.
