What differences do the Intel Processors make in a computer?
Depends upon what you’re using the computer for. While there are significant differences between different processor designs, for some applications those differences may be largely invisible. For example, Core i7 is the high-end of Intel’s current generation processor line. So for doing heavy-duty work in AutoCad or similar 3D design applications, or movie editing with Sony Vegas you’d see a tremendous speed advantage over a Pentium dual-core. But for browsing the web or running a word processor, most of the extra horsepower the Core i7 provides would just be sitting idle. You’d notice it being moderately quicker, but nothing mind-blowing since both of those CPUs are more than fast enough to keep up with basic tasks like that. Now if you’re talking about the old single-core Pentium 4 processor from 6 years ago, any current generation processor that’s dual-core or higher would be like night and day compared to that. For gaming computers the most important component is your graphics card
