What did you learn along the way at middle tennessee state university?
While I attended MTSU, I worked to support myself since my family could not help me. I spent the first half of college as a server at Cracker Barrel and the second half as an assistant manager at The Shoe Dept. in order to purchase and maintain a vehicle, rent an apartment, purchase groceries and other neccessary items and keep my kitten fed, all while writing 13-page term papers and newspaper articles on deadline. I had to learn self-reliance because no one can do the job for me the exact way I want it. I also learned patience and to temper my bluntness with tact, especially with those who are not close friends. Most importantly, I learned that it is the small moments of bliss in the chaos that make life an experience, such as a grasshopper attack after a long, past-deadline night at the newspaper office with the other editors….
