What did the sun god of ancient Egypt do?

0

The sun god, Ra or Ra-Horakhty, commanded the sky, earth and the underworld. He was the ruler of gods and men and in some legends where he is identified with Atum, he creates the world. People were supposedly created from his tears or sweat. Egyptians believed he was born every morning from the sky goddess and as the day progressed he would travel through the air in his solar barge, growing older and older until he was swallowed by the sky goddess again at sunset and had to traverse the underworld. The next morning, Ra was born again.
