What did the first pyramids look like?
The first pyramids were step-pyramids http://www.ancient-egypt.org/ NONE of the pyramids were built by slaves. These were very important to their afterlife. The Egyptian people were honored to work on them and were well paid. It required very skilled labor and they didn’t want some one like a slave building something that guaranteed their afterlife. The slaves worked in the fields so that the Egyptian people could work on the monuments. Look at it this way. As a Christian would you want a Muslim building your church or temple? As a Muslim would you want a Jew building your temple? As Hindu would you want a Christian building your temple? NO, the same question applies here.
