What did the Facilities Planning Study Involve?
On March 9, 2009, the Mead School Board authorized the development of an updated six-year (2010-2016) Capital Facilities Plan based on a District-wide needs assessment. The District has a long history of facilitating this planning process every six years in order to be adequately prepared for the future needs of our students. Patrons of the Mead School District who expressed interest in the planning process were selected to equitably represent the District and serve on a Facilities Planning Committee. Their purpose was to study student enrollment projections, physical conditions of existing school and non-school buildings, and space and service standards for the District’s facilities.
