What did the etruscans have to do with Rome?

0

The accounts of the Etruscans were written by the Romans, to flatter themselves. The original Eutruscans were an already ancient Aryan colony much further north, in the dairy country in the southern foothills of the Alps and nearby to the south of there, all up in northern Italy. Some of the Etruscans joined in a project down south with the Sicilians and established Rome. The Etruscans were executive/partier(!) types, and the Sicilians were conquerer types but without good leadership. Together, well, you know the rest of the story. Except that the original Etruscans were slowly absorbed into everything everywhere, and Tuscany was falsely declared to be their original home, convenient to Rome. However, the dairy country up north in the southern Alps foothills, still has some of the original genetics of the Etruscans, and the remnants of their ways. There is a line in northern Italy, south of which it’s olive oil, and north of which, it’s Etruscan butter. Regards, Larry.
