What did the Berlin Wall stand for?
It stood as a sign of separtaion and division since it separated the people and made all escape attempts impossible. Families and friends were separteed for many years and were unable to see each other because of the berlin wall. It stood as a barrier and as a gate that would not let you get out. It was a symbol that meant if you were in the communist east that you were under the strict control of communist government and that you were imprisoned under them.
