What Did Solexa DNA Sequencing Get Started?
A company called Solexa DNA sequencing seems to have put genetic fingerprinting on the map for public use. Since Solexa DNA sequencing released the news about their genetic sequencer that puts out 1TB of raw sequencing data in a day, other companies were sure to follow. But some of these other companies aren’t doing it in the name of research; they are mirroring the Solexa DNA sequencing for profit. The purpose for the Solexa DNA sequencing super sequencer is for isolation of mutated genes in order to assist in medical and genetic research. The Solexa DNA sequencing technology is so fast that the turnaround for delivery of the data is faster than the data is able to be stored.
