What did samurai warriors look like?
This varied depending on the individual, as Samurai did not generally have a uniform code over their appearance. Most armor-wearing Samurai had a variety of appearances that often evoked the demons or creatures of Japanese lore. When not armored or in more recent eras when armor became obsolete with the introduction of firearms, most samurai wore a kimono robe and hakama leggings, or even Western-styled clothing.
