What did Rutherfords model predict for hydrogen spectrum?

0

First off, Rutherford’s model dictated that most of the mass of the atom was in the nucleus and that the nucleus had a positive charge surrounded by the electrons (negative charge) A lot of times Rutherford and Bohr are talked about together in reference to the model of the atom in the basic terms of electrons in quantized energy levels. By quantized energy levels, I just mean different. Think of it like a ladder with the nucleus at the bottom on the ground and electrons can be at different heights above it. (Of course all this is happening more in a spherical fashion) When an electron goes from a higher rung to a lower spot on the ladder it emits light, this light is basically what you see in a spectrum.
