Just a lot of hot air. Most economist at the time knew that the USSR was going to fall soon. Reagan knew this and made the speech. Now, it’s one of the main Repuke talking points that Reagan ended the Cold War but it was years and years of military spending from the 1950s to the 1980s that actually ended the Cold War because the USSR could not keep up with the USA. Ike started this policy in the 1950’s Mark my word there will be a Republican that will claim the Reagan ended the Cold War for one of your answers.
