Ronald Reagan brought us “Supply side economics” which reduced the taxes on business so they could use the the money to re-tool themselves and grow. It worked well and 30 million new jobs were created. The boom he started lasted through even the Clinton years. Reagan also didn’t like Communism, and called The former USSR government “evil”, and demanded the removal of the Berlin wall, which they were forced to do. He also re-built the military that was gutted by President Carter.
