What did mozart think of saleris opera ?
In the movie, Mozart was a bit conceited and thought that his music was the best and could not be beat. After the Salieri’s opera, Mozart comes down to “congratulate” him. Notice that Mozart doesn’t really compliment his opera. All he says is that when one hears Salieri’s music, then they think Salieri. It doesn’t make much sense, but Mozart really didn’t want to give Salieri a compliment. In reality, there was some tension between the Mozart and Salieri over a job once. There are some people who believe that Salieri really did try to poison Mozart. But that is highly doubtful. Mozart and Salieri were friendly, and even composed a few works together.
