What did Hitler think of Nietzsches philosophy?

0

Hitler espoused Nietzsche’s ubermensch and will to power philosophy as the philosophical backing of his Nazi regime, but in reality Nietzsche never would have condoned Nazism and any of the extremes that came with it. From what I’ve read of Nietzsche, the real intent of his ubermensch ideas were to establish a meritocratic society – one where intelligence and achievement would be the primary factors considered in choosing leaders. It’s about humanity as a whole evolving socially and intellectually. So Nietzsche would have hated Hitler and how he corrupted Nietzscheanism.
