What did gilbert have to say about LeBron getting dunked on at his basketball camp?”
LeBron James was dunked on by an amateur basketball player at his basketball camp. I haven’t seen any public comments made by Gilbert Arenas as of yet, but as there is a bit of rivalry I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes a statement. Here’s a report of what went down: By many eyewitness accounts, there was a major two-handed dunk thrown down by Xavier’s Jordan Crawford on Monday, during a pickup game at the LeBron James Skills Academy in Akron, Ohio. Not a big deal, really, because highlight-worthy dunks happen in summer pickup games all the time, especially when there’s nothing at stake and the defense can at times be non-existent. This one, however, was a big deal. And not just because the dunk in question happened on the head of LeBron James himself, but because we will likely never be able to see it — thanks to a rep from Nike allegedly confiscating video of the incident shortly after it took place. From news accounts: “Nike basketball senior director Lynn Merritt confiscated tape
I don’t care how many outlets repeat this story of Nike confiscating a video tape of LeBron getting dunked on at his basketball camp; that story made this day a good one. Gilbert might have six broken knees and 13 broken elbows, but a guy who goes to a Southeast playground while still injured to play against a random assortment of amateur players would likely not pull that particular high school hall monitor stunt. Haha, Cleveland. Speaking of which, the Wiz erected a new Gilbert Arenas banner on their arena. See it here. That’s confidence, if nothing else. Yes, the Mission Accomplished joke has already been made.
