What did galileo do with gravity?
Galileo never dropped multiple objects of different masses off of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. This bit of information was falsely stated by Vincenzo Viviani, Galileo’s pupil, who wrote a biography about him, yet there was no reference to this experiment in Galileo’s accounts. It is generally accepted that this was at the most a thought experiment that Galileo never performed.
