What did CNEWA do during Lebanon’s civil war from 1975 to 1990?
We provided medical supplies to hospitals, distributed food and took care of needy children and displaced families. Until 1992, the Lebanese government was paralyzed. Organizations like CNEWA did the work of the government. CNEWA doesn’t just deliver emergency aid. We also help repair societies after conflicts end. How did CNEWA help Lebanon after the civil war? We worked closely with local churches, which felt the first priority was to resettle displaced families.
