(Yeah, scary stalker stuff ) Ok, well this kind of turned out to be a trick question, though it wasn’t meant to be. Ben Folds Fan remembered this happening, and he remembers that Ben ate “gingerbread pancakes.” This also sounded very familiar to me. We thought this would be a good “memory only” question, but it all blew up in my face when Dr. Boni actually found the fan’s account, which did not mention Ben eating anything at all. http://www.benfolds.org/forum/?id=594 I wrote to Travis (who posted the story on the blue board) and he replied that he only drove Ben back to his hotel (not out to dinner), but the band had gone without Ben to the Magnolia Cafe, which is a restaurant in Austin that serves gingerbread pancakes.
