What did ancient Egyptians do to please Ra, the sun God?
Ceremonies and rituals were performed to worship, provide offerings for, and please the god. These would most often take place at altars inside temples, although some were public events. Priests were usually the ones to conduct these ceremonies, though a few elite women also had access to the sanctuary. There one would be in awe of the beauty surrounding the god who was not seen. Everything in the small room was covered in gold and bejeweled in a dazzling array of sparkling gems. A soft glow filled the room which provided the correct setting for the incantation of spells and the offering of prayers. Physical offerings might include food, drink, incense and sweet-scented flowers. The current-day practice of the traditional religion of Kemet (now called Egypt) is called Kemetism. If you are interested I would suggest intensive studies before delving deeply into this mystery religion. You might be surprised at what you find.
