60 feet is the best size. Make sure that you put the posts on the outside and the smooth boards on the inside so that they won’t catch themselves on a post. My gates are an aluminum frame for lightness with the same boards with the same spacing as the rest of the round pen. I have a double gate and one side has a drop rod so that it stays put when I go in and out with a horse using the other half. I open both gates to drive in with the tractor to drag.
