Louisiana Tech announced Friday that Derek Dooley has resigned as athletics director and head football coach at the university. More information will be released when it becomes available. Dooley has accepted the head coaching position at Tennessee replacing Lane Kiffin, who left for Southern California earlier this week. Dooley was reportedly the fifth coach to be offered the job and the first not to turn it down. And why would he?
