What determines which articles are submitted as the first five? What happens when two writers submit to the fifth place position at the same time?
Currently a time stamp is used to determine when articles are submitted. As it is unlikely that two articles will be submitted at the exact same time, the time stamp to the database will be the final arbiter of which articles fall in the top five. As with the previous Upfront Payments system, eligibility for payment is determined at the end of each month.
