Your job has been classified in the new job evaluation (JE) plan by a process where it was matched to the benchmark that is the “best fit”. This benchmark has a pay grade listed on it, which is the new pay grade for your job. If your current pay rate is below the new pay rate (on the same step that you are currently on), then your salary will be increased to the new pay rate.
