What demeanor do most people who are suffering from back pain exhibit?
A new study shows practising yoga can help ease chronic lower back pain. U.S. researchers divided 90 adults, who had mild to moderate functional disability as a result of back pain, into two groups. One group did 90-minute yoga sessions twice a week for six months. The other group continued whatever medical therapy or treatments they’d been doing. At the three- and six-month marks, a greater proportion of those who did yoga reported improvements in their pain and functioning. Yoga participants also reported fewer symptoms of depression. The study is in the September issue of Spine. Sources: http://www.680news.com/news/headlines/more.jsp?
