• A Master of Science degree (referred to at MIT as an SM) in an engineering field in one of the participating departments in the School of Engineering, and • An MBA or a Master of Science in Management from MIT Sloan. The primary difference between the MBA and Master of Science is that the science degree requires a thesis. Since all LFM students complete a thesis as part of their program, LFM graduates may choose either the MBA or the Master of Science degree. The LFM program does not offer a Ph.D. track.
