Oral communication falls into the following two categories : 1) Verbal Communication: We relay information by the usage of words which a collective set of inert symbols and syllables. Words that are spoken constitute the most prominent and visible form of oral communication. That’s how we communicate our ideas, thoughts and abstracts. 2) Non-Verbal Communications : It involves a set of non-verbal activities that we employ while communicating and which mostly complements verbal communication. This communication forms the 95% of our communication and is typically covert. For example rolling eyes denotes sarcasm, frowning may communicate disappointment, smiles depict happiness, long faces describe gloom.
