What defines a yuppie anyway?
The term “yuppie” is from Young Urban Professional (your friend is not wrong in calling you this by this definition)… in the 80s when the term was coined this was considered bad because yuppies were generally elitist and had no care for social issues and a big love of money. (think the rich kids in pretty in pink if you’ve seen it) whether not it has negative connotations is up to you and how you perceive the word.
