What defines a Family Home Visit?
Answer Any non-medical home visiting program for pregnant women and families with children that is administered and/or contracted by a local public health department in which a public health nursing assessment is carried out during the initial home visit and the visits are provided by a trained home visitor to achieve the goals listed under the FHV statute. The evaluation plan covers all FHV programs irrespective of funding source.
