The Raiders used a 3-4 defense most of the season and Super Bowl XI with Dave Rowe at nose guard. The pass defense was all about man to man bump and run giving Jack Tatum the opportunity to just wait for something resembling Sammy White to come across the deep middle. Best Raider defense ever and better than any Steeler defense of that era IMHO.
