On 8 February 2006 the EGM of Allianz AG approved the merger of Allianz AG with the Italian Riunione Adriatica di Sicurtà S.p.A. After the merger has been entered in the commercial register, Allianz AG adopted the legal form of a European company (Societas Europaea – SE) and bears the name of Allianz SE.
