Each school reform team (SRT) has an executive director, support staff, and a representative from every department in the school system, all with the responsibility of meeting the needs of the schools in their cluster. The SRT Executive Directors approve staffing recommendations, support and evaluate principals and respond to requests and concerns. Individual schools make the decision regarding their comprehensive school reform model. A team is created which includes administrators, teachers, parents and community representatives. They research various school reform models, using as a benchmark, their student data to decide which model(s) will support their desired outcomes for academic improvement. They visit schools that have implemented the various models being considered. Once they have decided on a model to present to the school staff, they have the faculty vote on the model.
