What DDR RAM will be compatible on my PC?
PC2100 is regular DDR ram, so you should be able to safely use up to DDR400 (PC3200), which is likely the only type of DDR 1 you’ll be able to locate in a store. To be safe, check your motherboards user manual to be sure, but i’d say you’re 99% safe with DDR400, as it will be downclocked by your motherboard to match your FSB. -edit- CL stands for Cas Lacency, for a more informative read, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_late⦠And the performance difference between CL2.5 and CL3 is Minimal at best, you’d never notice the difference, if you can get lower, get it, but don’t spend more for it. It only becomes a concern in top end gaming rigs where you’re trying to sqeeze every frame per second you can out of your system.
