What data transfer rate can the USBN9603/4 achieve?
This depends on several things. For bulk transfers, the maximum transfer rate is approximately 512 Kbytes/second. This rate is derived not from the USBN9603/4 but from the maximum number of packets per frame that certain host controllers (more specifically, host controller drivers) are capable of transferring. For all other transfer modes, the maximum peak data rate is 1.5 MB for the local microcontroller to/from the USBN9603/4 interface. This is in line with the maximum peak data rate on the USB. In practice, your actual data rate may be somewhat less.
