Egypt uses the Egyptian pound (LE). 1 Egyptian pound = 100 piasters.Coins are rarely used, but they do exist.Transactions use notes (5, 10, 25, or 50 piasters) and (1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, or 200 pounds). As the value of the money decreases so does the size of the notes. *Be careful! Many notes are old and worn and the colors of different values are similar.
